1980s Decade Reunion
'80's Lakers Reunion This Summer!
Save the Date: July 27-29, 2007
Did you know that it's been (gulp!) nearly 20 years or even more since you've been a student at Lake Superior State University? Have you kept in touch with your fellow Lakers as well as you'd like? Would you like to rekindle some old friendships and perhaps make some new ones? Then please join us for an ‘80’s Laker Reunion July 27-29, 2007! You don’t have to be a graduate. If you attended Lake State in the 1980’s and you’d like to take a trip down memory lane, please join us. The more the merrier!
Scroll down to see a Schedule of Events, list of Reunion Attendees, hotel information, and a list of committee members with their contact information. Please feel free to contact any committee members for more information or just to chat.

We need your PHOTOS!
We are collecting "Then and Now" photos for a display for the reunion, and also for use in making up name tags for the weekend. If you have a photo of yourself from your college days, we encourage you to scan it into digital format and then send it to us via the following link: http://www.lssu.edu/transferimages
You will be prompted to login:
Userid: alumni
Password: lssu
Use the tool to upload your photos, one at a time. Please be sure to provide your name and email as a reference for the photo. For resolution's sake, file sizes should be in the 1 to 2 Mb range.
Schedule of Events
View the list of events here!
On Friday evening, the “River Rampage” tunnel boat racing event kicks off downtown. We will have a reception area for reunion attendees to check in and touch base with each other. You can make your own smaller group plans or attend the street dance, see the boats, meet the drivers and enjoy the activities around town. See http://www.saultstemarie.com/4th-annual-river-rampage-64/ for more information.
On Saturday we will be having events during the day like a golf outing www.golftanglewoodmarsh.com, euchre tournament, tours of campus, etc., and of course the boat racing. Then in the evening we will have a cocktail hour, finger-food, ‘80s music, a silent auction, and a lot of catching up with old friends. No speeches, no boring sit-down dinner and no suits or ties! Just a relaxing party and a chance to get together again. Our goal is to have several hundred people return to the Soo for a weekend of fun and friends.
As things develop we will be sending out updates by email to everyone in LSSU’s Alumni database.

Did you know that the Soo hasn't changed that much? It actually looks a bit better than it did in the '80's. The Antlers, the Back Door and the Palace are all still there. Just recently, the Gin Mill was damaged by fire. One difference is that the Horny Toad is now the Satisfied Frog, (no kidding) so the '90s must have been fun!
So come back this summer and check out your old stomping grounds. This may be the one and only time we all have a chance to get together again! Whether it's your 20th, 25th or something in between, we hope you can join us.
One last thing...SAVE THE DATE!!! And please spread the word! July 27-29, 2007
