Michigan’s Adventure Information and Registration

Michigan's AdventureCool off with fellow Lake Superior State University alumni, students and friends at Michigan’s Adventure amusement park in Muskegon Sunday, July 27! Your $30 ticket includes admission to the park (regular rides and water rides), buffet lunch served on a pavilion in the park, and an opportunity to win LSSU door prizes.

Michigan’s Adventure is Michigan’s largest amusement park and water park, with more than 60 breathtaking adventures from mild to wild. You can lounge, drift, cruise, spin, fly, twist and turn! Scream, soar, race & roar. Splash, spray, slide & play. New for 2008, Thunderhawk joins Michigan's Adventure coaster lineup as the first and only suspended coaster in the state! Riders sit suspended below the track ski-lift style and start with an 86 foot drop before racing at up to 50mph through more than 2,000 feet of twists and turns, including 5 inversions. For more information on the park check out their website at www.miadventure.com.

The LSSU Alumni Association has reserved a pavilion at the park; members of the Laker group will meet there for an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch at 2:00pm. Lunch includes hot dogs & burgers with all the toppings, baked beans, macaroni salad, ice cream cup, chips, brownies and unlimited drinks during meal time. Before and after lunch, you are free to roam the park at your leisure with your family and friends.

What’s included in my $30 ticket price?

All-Day admission to the amusement park and WildWater Adventure water park for Sunday, July 27. Lunch at Mary Lynn’s Group Catering pavilion, and an opportunity to win great Laker door prizes. Register TODAY, and the Alumni Association will mail your Michigan’s Adventure tickets to you.

What’s not included?

Parking fees (detailed below) and admission for RipCord and Go-Kart rides.

Children

Toddlers 2 years and younger are free; older children pay full price. There are many rides in the park that accommodate young children. Life jackets are allowed as long as they have USCG approval; inflatable arm bands or inflatable toys are not allowed. Aqua-socks are allowed in the wave pools, lazy river and children’s play areas, but may not be worn on any of the waterslides.

Park Hours

On Sunday, July 27, the ride park opens at 11am and closes at 9pm. Water park opens at 12noon and closes at 7pm. If you leave the park during the day, a hand stamp is required for re-entry. Ticket stubs and receipts are not valid for re-admission.

What to Wear

WildWater Adventure requires all participants to be in swim suits. Street clothes (athletic clothing, nylon shorts, jean shorts, etc) are not permitted. Metal snaps, buttons, rivets or zippers are not allowed. Bring your own towels, the park does not provide them. In the amusement park, shirts, shoes and shorts are required at all time. Protection from the sun is very important! Use sunscreen even on overcast days.

Lockers

Lockers are available at the front entrance of the park and at the entrance to the water park. Lockers are $4 with a $6 key deposit and may be used as many times as you’d like. If you plan on using the water park, we recommend that you rent your locker at the water park.

Weather

Michigan’s Adventure is open rain or shine. WildWater Adventure is open only when the temperature is 65 degrees or higher. The park reserves the right not to open the water park if the temperature does not reach 65 degrees within 2 hours of scheduled opening time. Some rides may need to suspend operation depending on the amount of rain or the presence of lightning.
