STAR - Support Team for Admissions & Recruitment
You have a powerful message to share about Lake Superior State University. STAR involves alumni and friends in helping the admissions staff contact prospective high school and transfer students about life at Lake State.
You'll call or write no more than five prospective students about your Lake State experience. We'll provide all the information you need, including LSSU information, a list of students by location or academic interest, phone numbers, expected date of enrollment, activities in which they may be interested, and sample letters for you to review. You'll also have a personal contact person in the Admissions Office, so if you have any questions or ideas you'll know whom to call.
CANaLS - Career Advisory Network at Lake State
Are you willing to talk to LSSU students or alumni about your career, the choices you had to make, or what it took to get your job? Maybe you'd like to sponsor a shadow or intern program? Are you in a position to share job leads or hire LSSU graduates?
CANaLS encourages students to initiate conversations with alumni, and invites alumni to contact fellow alums for career and graduate/professional school program information. You determine how many contacts you will accept and the nature of your participation.
