As a former student, you have a powerful message to share about Lake Superior State University. STAR involves alumni and friends in helping admissions staff contact prospective high school and transfer students about life at Lake State. Your personal interest and enthusiasm can make a real difference to a student considering LSSU. Would you be willing to talk to current Lake State students or alumni about your career, the choices you had to make, or what it took to get your job? Or maybe you'd like to sponsor a shadow, intern or extern program. Are you in a position to share job leads or hire LSSU graduates?

Volunteers in both programs will receive regular campus updates and will be listed as volunteers in the Laker Log.

This is Lake State's homecoming and alumni reunion all wrapped up into one weekend. We have socials, sporting events, banquets, inductions and lots of 'remember whens.' If you have ideas to improve, or just want to get involved with any GLSW events, let us know and we'll put you to work!

We have the Fun Run/Walk, Tot Trot, pre- and post-game socials, Big Top Tailgate, Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, reunions by major, class year or club and more! For more information on Great Lake State Week, see the GLSW Calendar or email alumnirelations@lssu.edu.

Help us reach out to our alumni who can't make it back to campus. We can plan picnics or reunions, or plan a social in conjunction with existing entertainment such as sporting or musical events in locations around Michigan and all over the US and Canada. Logistics support comes from the Alumni Relations staff - names and addresses for mailers, printing and postage. Help us plan events that Lake State alums won't want to miss! Chapters are a great way to keep in touch with LSSU and to network with other Laker alumni. The University supplies financial and logistical support, but programs and services start at the local alumni.
