Golden Grad Reunion

April 27& 28, 2012

	As members of our Golden Grad Society, alumni are invited to march in Lake Superior State University’s 2012 Commencement ceremonies on April 28, 2012. The Golden Grad Society includes those who left campus at least fifty years ago, in 1962 or earlier. Because there are no true graduating classes from those early days, we define your ‘graduation’ year as the last year a student was enrolled at the Soo Campus.. The honored class and those attending the reunion for the first time will be presented a commemorative medallion that features the official LSSU seal and the words ‘Sault Branch’ as a remembrance of this significant personal anniversary.

Even if you are uncertain about some events, it is imperative that we know by March 30 who will need commencement regalia (cap & gown). Costs related to academic regalia will be borne by the Alumni Relations office.

As part of the weekend festivities, each year we compile a Memory Book, filled with anecdotes, narratives and memories of our Golden Grads. Whether or not you can come to campus that weekend, we would love to include your memories in our book. You can Download the Memory Book form here and send it in with your story or click here ot submit your story online. Each year we add to the booklet, which serves as both a collection of memories and a historical guide. The entering class receives a complete copy of the booklet, and anyone can receive updates from your classmates and fellow Hornets thereafter. You can now view the Memory Book online. 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.         Presentations and demonstrations by graduating engineering students

7:00 to 9:00 p.m.         Reception at Lukenda Alumni House – wine & cheese & memories

Saturday, April 28

8:00 a.m.                     Honors Breakfast honoring outstanding grads and recognizing newly inducted Golden Grads

11:00 a.m.                   Commencement, Abel Arena

1:30 p.m.                     Distinguished Teacher Reception, Cisler Center
