LSSU recognized five highly accomplished alumni and friends at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet on Oct. 14, 2016. The event included comments from LSSU’s President and each of the award recipients. – Vice President, Business Development at Shorelight Education
– Established Geology Scholarship at LSSU in memory of his grandparents, Norma & Weldon Fritch.
– Formerly Provost of the American International College
– Dr. Fritch received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Geology from Baylor University

Kenneth J. Shouldice Achievement Award
– Brigadier General with the United States Air Force
– Commander, Defense Logistics Agency and Energy at Fort Belvoir, Virginia
– Responsible for providing the U.S. Dept. of Defense with comprehensive energy solutions
– Formerly served as Director of Logistics, Engineering and Security Cooperation for U.S. Pacific Command
at Camp Smith, Hawaii.

– Recognized by LSSU Trustees in 2005 for gift to replace electronic signs on campus
– Served on selection committee for Society of American Military Engineers scholarship at LSSU
